Are the Rocks of the Earth Really Millions of Years Old?
Iron Pot Found in Coal in 1912
Pot Found in Coal
It has often been claimed by the evolutionary community that coal is hundreds of millions of years old. For example, one such coal deposit from the Wilburton, Oklahoma, mines is said to contain coal that formed about 312 million years ago. This would predate the dinosaurs by about 87 million years (according to the widely accepted evolutionary theory). Most people are not aware that many human artifacts have reportedly been found in coal. One such find occurred in 1912 at the Municipal Electric Plant in Thomas, Oklahoma. Frank Kennard was breaking a piece of coal to throw it into the furnace. As he broke it this iron pot fell from the center of the coal.

His story is as follows and is contained in his signed affidavit. Mr. Kennard said, "While I was working in the Municipal Electric Plant in Thomas, Okla. in 1912, I came upon a solid chunk of coal which was too large to use. I broke it with a sledge hammer. This iron pot fell from the center, leaving the impression, or mould of the pot in a piece of the coal. Jim Stull (an employee of the company) witnessed the breaking of the coal, and saw the pot fall out. I traced the source of the coal, and found that it came from the Wilburton, Oklahoma Mines."

This find demonstrates that the assigned age of coal (given by evolutionists) is fallacious.

Hammer Found in Cretaceous Rock?
Max Hahn was fishing with his family near London, Texas in June of 1936 when he found a rock with wood protruding from it. When the rock was cracked open, this octagonally shaped iron hammer was exposed. The wood handle appears to be
partially coalified and has quartz and calcite crystalline inclusions. Tests performed at Battelle Laboratory document the hammer's unusual metallurgy: 96% iron, 2.6 % chlorine and 0.74 % sulfur (no carbon). Density tests indicate a casting of exceptional quality.

The enclosing rock contains Lower Cretaceous fossils. It is a concretionary sandstone nodule. The nearby cliff is made up of concretionary sandstone nodules which look exactly like the one encasing the hammer. If this nodule, with the hammer, did indeed come from the nearby cliff, evolutionary theory would have to be abandoned by the intellectually honest. This cliff is part of the Lower Cretaceous Edwards Plateau which evolutionists tell us was formed about 140 million years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Of course, the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs would destroy evolutionary theory.

Hammer Found in Rock in 1936
There have been many reported sightings throughout the last few thousand years of Noah's ark on Mt. Ararat (located in modern day Turkey). According to the Bible, the ark was at least 450 feet long, at least 75 feet wide, and at least 45 feet high. The ark had a capacity of at least 1.54 million cubic feet. Calculations have shown the ark could have easily handled the maximum number of animals required to go on board (50,000 sheep sized animals).
A Biblical Perspective
The above artifacts completely destroy the idea of millions of years of evolutionary time. Man, even according to evolution, is recent in origin. If mankind's artifacts were found in the rock layers that are supposedly tens of millions of years old, even hundreds of millions of years old, then this would demonstrate the millions of years to be false.

According to Genesis, however, everything was made in 6 days. These days must be ordinary days because of the context of the Hebrew word "yom" ("yom" found with night, evening, morning, number can only mean an ordinary day as proved by contextual studies outside Genesis 1). According to Exodus 20:11, "...in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it." (KJV). This means that according to the Bible, mankind has existed, as Jesus put it, "...from the beginning of the creation..." (Mark 10:6). According to the Bible, as far down as we dig (in rock layers containing fossil life), it should not surprise us to find evidence of mankind's existence.

The Bible also tells of a worldwide flood during the days of Noah. The purpose of the flood was to destroy all land dwelling air-breathing flesh and man outside of the ark. Even local floods tear up sediment and redeposit it. Water is the best process we know of to lay sediment down in layers like we see in the fossil record. Since the time of the flood the dead things would have turned into fossils and the sediment would have turned into rock. As Ken Ham likes to say, if there really was a worldwide flood, Wed expect to find billions of dead things buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth. This is exactly what we do find. This flood would have buried the pre-flood civilizations, leaving possible remnants of their cultures entombed in the fossil bearing strata.

Though the above artifacts cannot be explained in terms of evolutionary theory, they could be expected, even predicted based upon the Biblical record.

Creation is a faith that fits the facts. Evolution is a faith that the facts have failed.
